The Barbette’s Legacy Foundation and Round Rock Pride are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Barbette’s Legacy Scholarships: Christian Fendt, Sio Fitzgerald, and returning scholar Gabriella Heath.

These talented young artists embody the creativity, courage, and dedication that defined Barbette, the Round Rock-born aerialist, performer, and drag pioneer who captivated audiences worldwide. Through their work in musical theatre, dance, and visual storytelling, each scholar is carrying forward a legacy of artistic excellence and fearless self-expression.

Christian will continue his training in musical theatre at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts. Sio is pursuing contemporary dance at London Studio Centre, while Gabriella continues to build an impressive body of work in comic arts at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

We are honored to support these remarkable artists as they take the next steps in their creative journeys and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in their communities and beyond.
